Frequently Asked Questions

Dental Insurance and Financing

Does your office bill dental insurance companies?

We are not a provider or in network with any dental insurance companies. As a courtesy, we will file your claim for you. Any payment from your insurance company will be applied toward your balance. You may find that our fees may be different from the insurance company’s schedule of “allowable” or “UCR” fees. If you have questions about the fees, please feel free to ask. All services rendered are charged directly to the patient and the patient is ultimately responsible for the account.

I need extensive dental work done. How can I afford to improve my oral health?

Our Bountiful, UT office has several options to help afford your dental treatment. We offer discounts to patients who pay in full on the day of service. We offer in-house financing plans and accept CareCredit payment plans as well. At your appointment, you and our dentist or another member of the dental team will discuss the best way for you to finance your dental treatment.

How can I avoid cavities?

The best way to avoid cavities and maintain overall oral health is to practice good oral hygiene habits. This includes brushing at least twice a day, flossing every day, eat a healthy, balanced diet, and attend your regular check-ups with our Bountiful, UT dentist. We encourage all patients to schedule appointments every six months for regular check-ups.

Do you place dental implants?

While we don’t place the actual titanium implants, our dentist will place the dental implant restoration after the implant is placed by an oral surgeon and the bone and implant have bonded. A dental implant restoration is a crown, bridge, or denture that is specifically designed to be placed on the dental implant for optimal results.

What is the best treatment for a decayed tooth?

It depends on the situation. Our dentists aim to save every tooth and avoid extraction if at all possible. To save the tooth, they may recommend a root canal. Root canals are usually completed in a single appointment at our Bountiful, UT dental practice.
